Product Launch

Add an unforgettable element to your product launch!

Right from the planning stages of a new product or service, much effort and many hours are put into ensuring the most successful outcome. As it develops we see the once intangible idea take shape in front of your eyes. As completion nears and time and resources are depleted, all hope is now on the success of the new creation to bring a strong return on investment.

The day of the big launch arrives and with much anticipation and excitement we watch as a dull event drains the life from our potential buyers…Noooo!! Somebody (let’s call them Bob) neglected to organise a buzzing atmosphere to excite our potential customers. So with a flop, another day passes not to be remembered by any of the attendees.

I think we all know this is unacceptable so Mix ‘n’ Twist Bartending is here to help. We can fill a room with excitement and flair, engaging and entertaining all. We put smiles on faces and cocktails in hands. As Pogenpohl of Leeds found out after hiring us for their launch:

“ ‘Fantastic’ in a word. Easy to book, incredibly helpful, great advice, lovely cocktails, very well presented personable staff, good value for money, a great service from start to finish. We would definitely use you again, many thanks for all your help in making our event a success.”

So why not give us a call or email to help make your launch one to remember!

The Bartender

The Bartender

  • Drinks maker
  • Entertainer
  • Juggler
  • Friend
  • Counsellor
  • Alcohol advisor
  • Comedian
  • Party starter

The bartender is all these and more but usually you have to travel to your favourite bar to see one, which comes with its drawbacks; busy, long queues, lots of drunks!

Now you can hire your very own charismatic, entertaining bartender for your party who will set up and provide town quality cocktails (if not better)! Concocting your favourite tipples for you and your guests at your venue, whether it’s a kitchen, garden, marquee, office or hotel function room.

With much feedback having similar comments like ‘the bartender made our night’ you can see you're not just getting a drinks maker, you’re getting a skilled, entertaining mixologist or flair bartender. These guys that are sometimes called artists as they create wonderful looking, fantastic tasting cocktails whilst entertaining and engaging your guests with passion and expertise.

For your very own professional and entertaining bartender to make your next get together, birthday, wedding, hen party or corporate function unique and brilliant call or email for a free quote.

Who's Got The Flair?

Who’s Got The Flair?

So you head into a cool cocktail bar and order you favourite tipple, the bartender with a confident look in his eye throws a bottle of alcohol into the air whilst spinning a mixing tin round in his other hand and catches the bottle. Then throws the bottle behind his back and stalls it on his hand finally flipping it into the tin for a smooth pour…Sweet moves!

These guys are the flair bartenders of the world, there aim is to entertain and wow their customers as they serve and create fantastic cocktails.

Flair became popular back in the 70's, with many out of work actors, jugglers and street entertainers of all types, working in New York bars showcasing their unique talents behind the bar. Around this time TGI Fridays started training their bartenders to flair and soon many venues and drink companies saw flair bartending as an excellent and exciting way to promote themselves.

There are now global competitions giving bartenders the opportunity to demonstrate their working flair (done whilst making a drink using fuller bottles and bar equipment) and exhibition flair (crazy jaw dropping moves with nearly empty bottles and equipment). Although not overly common these guys are around, here’s a couple of videos from our very own flair bartenders, enjoy.

Spiced Passion Cocktail for Valentine's day

Spiced Passion

Lovers unite over the love fest we call Valentine’s Day, a day of spending time with your special one.
To get you in the mood Mix ‘n’ Twist has put together a sensation tingling, inhibition losing, desire increasing, love potion to massage in and oil up your nights.
Why not caress together these beautiful ingredients to treat your lover to some hot passion.

To produce this cocktail we’ve brought together Latin passion in the form of Rum, some strawberries and chocolate as aphrodisiacs and chillies to spark the fire!

Here’s what you’ll need:
Glassware: Martini glass
White Rum: 20ml
Fraise (Strawberry liqueur): 20ml
White chocolate liqueur: 20ml
Rose syrup with water: 5ml/25ml
4 Fresh strawberries
1 Fresh chilli
Garnish: Chocolate covered strawberry, Rose petal

Firstly muddle (mush into a pulp) the strawberries, then quarter and de-seed the chilli (we don’t want to burn their mouth off) add to mixing glass along with the strawberries. Mix water and Rose syrup and pour in followed by the Rum, Fraise and white chocolate liqueur.

Meanwhile melt some milk chocolate and get ready to dip the strawberry.

Finally shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a martini glass, dip the strawberry into the melted chocolate and push onto the side of the glass, place the petal on the surface and serve with a kiss x

Burns night cocktail-The Scot’s Tipple

For an event near Burns night for a Scottish birthday party Mix ‘n’ Twist couldn't resist concocting a Scottish inspired tipple.

Robert Burns was a famous Scottish poet and lyricist in the 18th century and to celebrate his contributions on his birthday (25th January) Scots will come together and for traditional drink, food and telling of stories and poems. This poem was made famous by Robert Burns and is now used to give thanks before a burns night meal:
 The Selkirk Grace
Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat,
And sae let the Lord be thankit.

But we’re more focused on the drinks, with all the tradition surrounding this event we wanted to use some very Scottish ingredients, one of which being Iron Brew…can’t get much more Scottish than that! (Side fact: Scotland is one of the only countries in the world that doesn't have a Coke-a-Cola product as their highest selling soft drink…you guessed it, Iron Brew is #1).

What you’ll need

Tumbler glass

Scotch whisky
Drambuie
Iron Brew
Honey
Lemon
Rosemary
Garnish: Rosemary sprig
Hope you've got your Scottish to English translator handy
Add aw th' ingredients tae th' bostin glass an' gie it a wee shake wi' ice, 'en poor intea th' auld fashioned glass ower crushed ice, finally top up wi' Iron Brew an' add a bonnie wee rosemary sprig.

Optional serving suggestion of Haggis.
